Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum to purchase?
A: HH Rock does not have a minimum tonnage requirement for purchase. We sell small quantities to individuals regularly.
I’ve never hauled out of a quarry, what do we do?
A: Bring your trailer – trailers must have sides and a back to prevent rock spillage on roads. Stop at the scale house. Come across scale for a light weight, and we will direct you to the correct area. Come back across the scales at exit and we will charge you for the amount that was loaded. Note: We will load small limestone (1” or less) directly into the back of older pickups, but not anything over 1”. It could damage the vehicle.
Will you haul rock to our house?
A: We do not haul, but we can put you in touch with some great local haulers. Contact the quarry at 423-728-1900 for a referral to the haulers. They will bill you for both the rock and the haul.
What payment do you take?
A: Cash, plastic, and checks. Plastic is +3.5% that goes directly to CC companies. Returned checks are +35.00.
How much gravel do you think I need?
A: All jobs are different. Try the great limestone calculator from Omni Calculator found on our home page. Select medium density limestone and enter your area to cover. Always get extra for spillage, etc.
Are you open weekends?
A: No. Our hours are 7-4:50 Monday – Friday. Last load at 4:50 sharp. We close major holidays i.e.; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).
Do you have contractor pricing?
A: Yes. It requires a dump truck of at least 10TN capacity with an active business that uses crushed limestone regularly. Contact the quarry for more information.

what people say
“Several projects around the farm require gravel of various sizes. I discovered that H&H is much nearer us and offers much lower prices than my usual seller. I found their location easily and acquired 2+ tons of 4s ( a large gravel about 1″ in size ) quickly. I intend to be a regular customer of H&H now that I have found them.”
